Burning 03:52
I feel this rain upon my face I see the stream and the path it takes I see a well and the stories written there I left my words burning in the air I see a tree that cracks and breaks I feel the need or the strength it takes I look ahead but the ways unclear I don't know why I hold this time so dear I have a place that I call mine I lose myself in there sometimes Where all of these days that pass like years Pray fly a way but don't leave me hear

Harvest 04:04
A harvest moon stays a while And leaves it's mark upon my face In a darkened room i start to smile And i it leaves a familiar taste As i reach across this airless night With open hands of love You lie as soft as this moonlight To face the stars above Caught between sleep and this dreaming I find myself these days In a world of blind faith and preaching I believe in you ways In this Autumn moonlight shading I see you folded wings Is this moment for the taking Or is time the keeper of all things? Lying here in this silent room As this moonlight fades to day The mantle that it leaves behind Will not fade away As i reach across this breathless dawn With open eyes of love You lie as soft as this daybreak To face the skies above

September 03:42
Autumn light comes through my window Weaving patterns on the wall Getting caught in past reflections When i hear September call Watching the rain fall down on the pavement Hearing planes go overhead Waiting for night fall over this city As the streetlight turn on red Sometimes I fell like running away Sometimes I fell like running Away from all the things I've seen Away from all the time that's been Away from this old place I'm in Away from this old place Walking the park in early evening Watching people fade away Listening to sirens in the distance September came today Sometimes I fell like running away Sometimes I fell like running Away from all the things I've seen Away from all the time that's been Away from this old place I'm in Away from this old place

Somedays 03:04
Some-days come harder than others Some-days go by me so fast Some-days take forever Some-days just don't last Some-days come just like this Running down my window pane They seem to last a life-time Like this steady falling rain Some-days when the cold wind blows Leaving nothing but a trace Like this time that's always passing Leaving lines upon my face Some-days leave me wanting For more than I will ever know Some-days there's no changing The way it all goes Some-days come harder than others Some-days go by me so fast Some-days take forever Some-days just don't last

Universe 04:00
Evening comes the darkening hours The daylights fading like some long forgotten flowers That have left the sent for the winds to blow Across this landscape for the stars to hold The sky lines ragged like a winters tree I see a picture that makes sense to me Like the moon coming out from behind these clouds You illuminate my way some how If I could change one thing in this perfect universe I swear to you I would have found you first Darkness leaves without a sound Casting shadows on this stoney ground Like the feelings now that come to me Etched upon my memory As the dawn draws these curtains clear The due drops shine like their heavens tears As this blood red sunrise fills another day A tired old woman bows her head to prey If I could change one thing in this perfect universe I swear to you I would have found you first

Mistaken 04:40
I was standing as still as these old grey stones Except for the world spinning I was all alone And from that hill top high I was looking out to sea And I thought I saw you out there - sailing home to me There was a breeze blowing across those ancient hills And the sound it was making could lay you so still From that hill top high I was looking out to sea And I thought I heard you out there - singing out loud for me Was I mistaken Was I mistaken As the sun went down and the shadows grew long The stars came out and turned their sweet magic on And from that the hill top high I was looking out to sea And I thought I saw you out there - shining out bright to me Was I mistaken Was I mistaken And as the darkness came around and turned me away Yes I longed for another time I longed for one more day And from that hill top high I was looking out to sea I swore I felt you out there - praying hard for me

Crows 06:16

about

An album I recorded back in 1998 25 years ago! Uploading to Bandcamp, as I no longer want to use places like Spotify and Apple Itunes as they are not for the likes of me.

credits

released January 1, 1998

Written recorded and produced by me, in a little outbuilding in Cornwall on an old Atari 1040. I managed to find the original AIFF files. I have not re-mastered etc, it is as it was. Unfortunately the original files cannot be resuscitated so I was unable to re mix and or upgrade piano sounds etc.

These were the first recordings I did in the digital realm, which was continually glitching out. It took forever but got there in the end.

The track Crows was never on the CD as it wasn't really finished, or at least it didn't seem so at the time. But I add it here for posterity as soon - no doubt - the files will all be gone.
